Hi friends, I’m Jessica Wood! My love language is food and my idea of a perfect day is a coffee-fueled afternoon in the kitchen followed by a laughter (and wine) filled evening around the table with friends and family.
Here at JessicaNWood.com, I’m sharing my favorite recipes, kitchen advice, general food obsessions, and menu planning tips. My hope for all of us is that we gather around the table more often with good food and great company. That’s why I blog! I want you to have recipes that you trust and solid kitchen advice so that you’ll feel comfortable cooking for your friends and family and think less about what’s going on the table and more about who is coming over.
If you ever have any questions about my recipes or need a little extra help, menu planning advice, or just want to chat about all things food, please email me. I’d be so happy to hear from you.
A little more about me. I live in Mint Hill, NC with my very handsome and super smart husband Garrett. Mint Hill is home for us – it’s where we both grew up and where our families have been for generations – but we just recently moved back here after living in Durham for the first six years of our marriage.
In 2014, we started the (long, exciting, patience-testing, amazing, redeeming) journey to adopt a little boy from the Philippines. You can follow the journey on this page. If you’re the praying and well-wishing type, we’d love your prayers for this journey. And, if you found the blog because you are adopting too, please, please reach out to me. I’d love to connect and encourage you on your journey.
In addition to cooking, reading, and coffee-drinking, I also spend my days as a communications and marketing consultant.
When I was just 22, I started my own small business consulting firm with little more than a prayer, and I’m proud to say I’m still going strong today. I love helping brands and nonprofits with strategic communication and marketing campaigns.
